Challenges

  1. Brand Transformation: Evolving the brand to reflect modern design trends while maintaining brand identity posed a creative challenge.
  2. Inclusivity: Ensuring that the new design catered to a diverse audience and adhered to accessibility standards required careful consideration and adherence to WCAG guidelines.
  3. Multimedia Integration: Incorporating a video element for the hero banner required seamless integration with the overall design and responsiveness.

Approach

  1. Brand Workshop: The project began with a collaborative workshop to understand Solidengineer's vision, values, and aspirations. This laid the groundwork for the redesign approachon the website.
  2. Homepage Wireframes: Initial wireframes for the redesigned homepage were crafted, ensuring a logical and user-friendly layout that accommodated the diverse needs of visitors.
  3. Figma Prototypes: The wireframes were translated into high-fidelity prototypes using Figma. These prototypes provided an interactive preview of the redesigned homepage, incorporating the new graphic profile.
  4. Video Integration: A  hero banner video was created and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro, seamlessly blending with the overall aesthetics of the new homepage design.
  5. WCAG Compliance: All design elements were adapted to meet WCAG guidelines, emphasizing readability, color contrast, and accessible navigation.

Results

The project yielded the following outcomes:

  1. Modernized Brand Identity: The website now boasts a modern and visually appealing brand identity that resonates with contemporary design trends.
  2. Inclusive Design: The website now prioritizes inclusivity, adhering to WCAG guidelines to ensure accessibility for users with diverse abilities.
